Lisa, you didn't say anything about family or anything. If you live with
others, particularly children, you'd want to be sure she's good with them.
If the growling when told to leave the table area is the only problem,
that's probably not too difficult to deal with. We've found that our two
adults, who've not had any prior obedience work, learn quickly. Both have
very quickly caught on to "down/stay" while we eat. We are particularly
careful that our dogs *don't* have issues around food; all have been OK
with our taking bowls, cookies etc. away from them--of course, they know
they'll get it back!
