I just checked my Road Warriors book, and it seems I was mistaken: three 5.56mm
rounds will, on average, kill a standard tire. (Barely.) Each round does 3d8
damage, average 15.4, divide by 10 and round down, get 1 point of Durability or
average per shot. Standard tires have 3 Durability, so that will do it.

Still seems a bit excessive, but not quite as bad as I'd thought.
