I would bet against that they analyzed the whole thing from a mathematical
point of view (that it is easier to go bust with an odd skill aptitude than
the
preceeding even one kind of indicates that (you would expect that you screw
up less the better you get at doing things), this is somewhat
counterintuitive but
pretty obvious when you analyze it) but that doesn't matter much, it works,
better than many other systems, and it is simple. What more could one ask
for?
