The Doomie power of quantum leap is pretty clear as to its use
although a bizarre situation came up recently. The Doomie was in an out
of control vehicle and was going to be crushed into a building with a
few seconds. He could have jumped but was already badly hurt and then
thought of using Quantum Leap to simple zap over to the side of the
street and arrive standing still. Now I ruled that your inertia is
still skipping you along at whatever speed you were moving at when you
Quantum Leap. His argument was that since its technically (Love that
word.. mean a rationalization is to follow hehe) matter transmission he
should arrive at the teleported spot standing still. I don't believe so
but would be interested in hearing what you think. >>

I follow your logic on that one. The actual science behind it all can get
kinda messy, but I probably wouldn't stick to the solid science on this one.
What'd be simplest would be to judge how many raises the Doomie gets on his
miracle, and use that to affect his "matter control." Maybe let him take
half the damage if he gets a raise or two, and then no damage for a raise
above that, due to his skillful use of the power. That way, it has the
possibility for saving the Doomie in the future, but he won't necessarily
abuse it and be jumping off of cliffs just for the hell of it.

<<2) Diesel vs Spook Juice.
The prevalence of Semi's laying about after the war brings up a
point in the game I am running. Although the characters do not have a
Semi they do have a vehicle that runs off of diesel. All the info in
the Road Warriors seems to imply that the trucks within it run off off
spook Juice and if that's the case then no problem I could see the
Trucks in 2080 being all gas versions for some reason. However if not
then Diesel would be a hard fuel to scrounge up. Spook juice and gas
would be easy to find or create.
An idea a Junker in the posse has had is to combine 1 oz of Ghost
Rock with 1 chemical component and four gallons of Oil. These does make
it harder to create, with the scarcity of oil, but almost any oil will
do.

On a final note, Converting a Diesel to run off spook juice or gas
is difficult although it can be done. Other fuels that would be
interesting would be a Ghost Rock Vapor type vehicle. Similar to modern
Propane cars. Runs off off the vapor collected from the rock maybe. Just
an idea. :)>>

For what I've been running HoE with, I've just made spook juice the "super
fuel." Since diesel fuel and gasoline are almost non-existant in the West,
this simplies travel greatly. With little or no alteration, just about
anything can use this stuff. The only side-effect, of course, is the moaning
that comes from the exhaust...

The ghost-rock vapor engine sounds like a VERY cool idea, though.
Enterprising junkers could stand to make a fortune out of that one...

SPOILERS

Of course, since spook juice is a tool of the Reckoners, I think they'd make
it easy for any vehicle to use the stuff, from planes to semis. And the
components of the mass-produced spook juice from Junkyard are blood & ghost
rock... The fact that the Reckoners allow ghoulish combinations such as this
seems to make spook juice seem all the more powerful. Details on this are in
Iron Oasis. And I thought drinkin' spook juice was a bad idea after just
reading Wasted West... o_0
