Re: [PyrNet-L] Small Problem

Been there, done that, not so long ago, and the situation was a little
bit more serious than that. Last May, I came to a 4 wk old Newf/Shep mix,
and I was his fourth home (long story-- but comes down to spay-neuter issues
and idiots letting dogs breed and not having a clue as to proper puppy
upbringing.) Molly-- 4 yr old pyr-- nose was out of joint for a few weeks,
but as time went on, she became rather maternal to Bosco, giving him a more
normal upbringing, and now at 7 mos, they are best buds.
Bosco now stands as tall as Molly, and has certainly caused her to be
more active with his puppy exuberance. At the moment, they are both at my
feet sharing bones. At night they both sleep outside the bedroom doors,
patroling the hallways. Bosco, unfortunately has learned patrol barking
from Molly much to the dismay of some neighbors, but Molly on the otherhand
has taken a keener interest in the constant obedience training we do here--
particularly knowing there is often a treat incentive.

What made our situation even more difficult although I can report at
this time we are all surviving beautifully, is about 3 weeks after Bosco's
unplanned arrival, I took custody of my 3 yo twin grandduaghters who at that
time were functioning more like approaching 2yos. I can proudly report,
that despite their rough start, they have caught up and even surpassed their
age expectations and have adjusted quite well. Molly the pyr is as gentle
as ever with them, and yet very protective of the girls. They are adjusting
well to Bosco, and have learned to keep their treats and toys away from
him. He looks like a Newfie with a shepard face, and for those familiar
with Newfie antics, he has a Newfie brain all the way.
For those who might want a peek at the girls, their pic is at
