I have read before that Pyrs are to have a soulful expression!! I think
they are expressing their soul within!! I have never doubted for a moment
that animals go to heaven! Many believe that dogs do or cats do, but I think
it goes farther than that. Having worked with many orphaned and injured
animals of all kinds, including: porcupines, beaver, foxes, elk, bats,
raccoons, rabbits, possums, deer, chipmunks, squirrels, birds, etc., and seen
how they can come to appreciate the kindness of other humans, even when it was
humans who hurt them (NOT me!!) always humbles me. I volunteered at a
wildlife rehabilitation and rescue center and I found if you spend time with
them you realize they each have their own personalities and forgiving souls
and playful natures and love to cuddle when they come to trust you. I cannot
imagine anything called Heaven that would not include animals and birds and
pets and such. I don't know if there's a sea in Heaven, but I'd also vote for
sea creatures, too!! I love watching seals, sea lions, dolphins, porpoises,
whales, orcas, and such!!
I was very moved by the new movie with Robin Williams titled "What Dreams
May Come" in part because it depicts Heaven as a place we are reunited with
pets and people we loved that died before us: It showed a dog (dalmation) that
had had to be put down because of constant pain and suffering in his old age -
but when the owner went to Heaven the dog was youthful and healthy again and
came bounding up to his owner and bowled him over and licked him and was happy
to be reunited with his owner again! I thought "Yeah!! That's Heaven!!!!"
