Hi Wendy

If the darkening of coat is only on the places where he has markings, it
may have to do with the colder weather. Many pyrs with markings appear
almost white in summer, but the markings are much darker in the winter. 
Others have mentioned different shampoos, I will not comment on them, but
just say, that a pyr does not have to be as white as possible. Some coats
are naturally whiter than others, and there is nothing in the standard to
indicate, that this is preferable.
