Janice, hope you're feeling better real soon! Glad you have Albert to at
least lift your spirits in the meantime.
Yesterday, we were in the process of setting the table because we were
having guests for lunch. We were in the kitchen getting something when we
heard the crash of glasses falling etc. Next thing, Paddington comes
flying from his favorite corner in by the dining room table and there's
Ivy Rose, looking a bit sheepish. She had been intrigued by the longer
edge of the tablecloth we'd put on and had, of course, pulled it! As we
tried to indicate that this was not exactly the behavior we expected
indoors, we were trying to quell the images of all those pictures in
cartoons and kids' books of the puppy running off with the corner of the
tablecloth in its mouth! You have to know too that she had spent a good
part of the weekend peeling the elastic from around the plastic cloth on
our outdoor picnic table, and that she is almost 6 years old! All
Paddington can do is distance himself physically from her latest antic
before he either gets hit by flying objects, or risks implication in her
exploits! What a clown she is!
