I have to disagree. The position of the tower in the sample board I posted
was not confusing. It was just plain wrong! :) This would be the right one:

I like mine better. :) I think dots '·' make for better corners than your
hyphens '-'. Just an opinion, anyway.

Hmm. I don't get it. Are you proposing a new notation? This is not the same
as the one already proposed. What is the purpose of that asterisk?

That move would be TOsD5 with the 'standard' notation. The arrow would be
placed at E5, which is the 'anchorage point' of the piece on the board, so
to speak.

And this one would be TOeE5.

Why don't you like the notation proposed at
http://www.cathedral-game.co.nz/onlineplay.htm? I don't think there's any
need to change that.

(Also, I don't like the dots being at the center of each 'square', instead
of using them as corners. OK, you can call me anal retentive if you wish.
