It's your game. As others have said, give it however much armor you wish.
Shane himself would be the first to say so, though he may also tell you
his specific reasons for doing things this way.

As I recall, we are not given all of the mechanics of the defense
mechanisms the Unity has in order to traverse the Hunting Grounds. Perhaps
the listed AV's are only against mundane sources. I don't recall if
anything is mentioned about supernatural sources. It may well be that the
armor has /nothing/ at all to do with it, mightn't it?

But it doesn't matter. Run it how you like. It's your game.
