See my previous post. The "tech-friendly" roadway and mag-lev line to
Deadwood is, theoretically, passable to the Convoy, Cyborgs, Junkers, etc.
due to the totems But...

...for all practical purposes that pathway is impassable to any vehicle
larger than a bicycle. This isn't a problem for your average posse
(assuming they aren't adverse to hoofing it for 20 days), but it would seem
to pose an insurmountable barrier to the Convoy.

Again, you can figure that the roadway has been cleared by the Convoy in the
past. This seems to contradict the SQ, but what the hey, it's your
campaign! :) However, as I also noted, this would seem to destroy some of
the "ambience" of Deadwood as a haunted city. it also means the Convoy
would have to pass _through_ Deadwood (and survive!) every six months, and
this also seems to work against Deadwood's description in SW as a "haunted"
city that no one ever comes back from.

As a final note, it's not the Caretakers who guard the totems. While the
Sioux Nation is friendly to Caretakers, they don't seem to employ them
themselves. The anti-tech seems to have rendered the need for Caretakers
irrelevant in the 2094 Sioux Nation.

Hope that clarifies things.
