Yes, I remember seeing that. Like the picture, you'd want to have a HUGE
recoil brake on the end of the gun. Simply cutting the barrel down would
be painful, I imagine.

The Range Increments in HoE, I've noticed, aren't really as long as in
real life. The .50 BMG round, IIRC, has an accurate range of 2km.
Probably farther in a good rifle, farther still with an accurate
marksman. More of game mechanics than anything else.

IIRC, Curtis "Big Fifty" Harriman has a .50 BMG pistol, 6 round
magazine, 4d10 damage, and a specially reinforced wrist "to handle the
recoil of this bad puppy". Former Texas Ranger can that hunts down other
cans that have gotten out of line.
