[HoE] Buying Edges

Quick question about buying edges during character creation for HOE.
In the main rulebook on page 30, under the section titled Aptitude Points, 
it says that apt. points can be used to purchase Edges during character 
creation. Later on the book gives the maximum amount of Hindrances that can 
be taken initially, but it doesn't give a limit on how many Edges can be 
purchased when first creating a character. Is this a typo? I can see where 
combining the above two can cause some abuse of the system.
