Just as a note, what's wrong with a One-Man Death Machine (tm)?  Don't  know 
about you, but if the choices are between a well-developed role-playing 
character, and a well-developed role-playing character that is a One-man 
Death Machine as to who's going to save the world from the Servitors, I know 
who my money's on...  :)
