What about having a rule in every game that says either "high score
wins" or "low score wins" and it's 50/50, so that no assumptions are
made going in.
Then, 50% of the time have a rule that says "the hi/lo score rule is
negated"
This would mean that 50% of the time it is hi, 50% of the time it is
low, and 50% of the time, you can't trust that "hi/low" rule. The
only way to know for sure would be to have both the hi/low rule and
the hi/low negation rule.
