[DL] The Devil's Tower Trilogy *spoilers*

*ADVENTURE SPOILERS AHEAD*
(The Devil's Tower Trilogy)
your only ruining your own fun you know..
actually I think we say no players beyond this point just to be sure....
I'm running The Devil's Tower Trilogy, they are just past the first part in
Salt Lake and on their way to Lost Angels. At the moment I have them
trapped at Overlook Hotel, but in a few sessions they will be moving on.
The thing is, I have been GM'ing these players for 3 years, and even though
they have never met Stone, they sure as hell have heard of him (well,
actually they have met him, but that was in a dream scenario.. long story).
The characters they are playing now on the other hand have never heard the
name. But when the time comes and they are asked by Old Pete to rescue
Stone from the prison, they are gonna guess the plot right away even though
their characters won't, which kinda ruins the feel. I've been trying to
figure out how to change it without messing up the entiere plot, but I have
to say I'm out stomped at the moment. Any ideas on how to dupe my players
as well as their characters? Have any other marshals experienced the same
thing? How did it turn out? The only thing I've though of so far is to have
them run into some Guardian Angels and give them feel that they are so bad
anyone who oppose them has to be a good guy in one way or another, but I'm
not sure how well it will work.
The adventure in it self is good as long as the players don't know who
Stone is. When they do though, I fear the entiere thing will be the case of
"let's do what we're expected to do even though we're walking into a trap".
