I cook on occasion, but you're right, it's -rough-
because I'm playing as well. I've stopped doing it
because it takes so much time and, you're right, the
appreciate doesn't seem to be there. I still do it as
a treat once and a while, like if we're going to have
an in-game dinner, and I made a huge fondue dinner
when some first-time players came over.
We always have a "snack basket" available, where all
the chips, cookies, crackers and candy live (heh, it's
a big basket). Most of the time in a short session
snacking will hold people, but when we get into our
(frequent) marathon all nighters, the chips won't hold
us.
What about clean-up? I don't know about you guys, but
the morning after a gaming session it looks like the
Snack Food Bomb hit the living room; empty soda
bottles, napkins, cups... Does anybody offer
incentives for clean-up? Does it work?
