You are wrong, sir, I've read the entire trilogy, AND
the Hobbit, and a good chunk of the prequels.  I have
only one issue with the entire series based SOLELY on
gender issues, but other than that it's high fantasy
at it's pure hearted best.  Tolkien might not have
invented elves and dwarves, but he sure gave them a
good name.
