Very true,Tea.But adoption, usually, is an option. I can understand why some would not want to be foster parents, and have to give them up.
There are many reasons why people don't have children. Some of the reasons are good ones, such as an unstable spouse. Not all women can deal with children and they are certainly doing the child a favor not to become involved with them.Others have them but shouldn't have them. Druggies, crooks, abusers all have children sometimes. They shouldn't.
I spoke of those who do not have children for selfish reasons, they don't want to spend the money, they don't want the work, they don't want to lose their figure, they don't want the responsibility, etc. Better not to have them, if we can't or won't take care of them.
Properly done, a child can cost more than a quarter million dollars over our working lifetime. If parents who abuse them or neglect them had anything else
costing that much, they would take care of it.
