rhonda@castlepublishing.com Subject: [pyrnet] Question Newman about did me in last night. Don't know what got into him, but he was full of beans. Spicy ones. I needed to brush and comb him, since I hadn't all week, and he'd rolled in the mud 2-3 times and been squirted off each time. He was looking pretty sorry (and frankly, so is my COUCH, where he jumped up on it to look out the window!). As usual, every time I tried to brush him, he would "grab" the brush with his mouth, then when that didn't work, he started on my hands and arms. Not biting...just "holding". I have an impromptu "muzzle" I put together from a strip of double-sided velcro that I wrap around his muzzle when he does that, and generally the instant I put it on, he knows I'm NOT playing, and he stops and stands still. Not this time! He also knows that all he really has to do is wipe his nose on the carpet and it'll pull off, so that's what he did, and he was back in business!  ALSO usually, if I put him on a long "down", he'll settle down>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..

Hi Rhonda,
This an interesting "confortation" that you experienced ! It now brings up a question in my mind~~~
A couple of days ago, some friends of Mine were remarking how their Pyrs.(normally well behaved), were acting "wild"~~not mean, just "wild"~Yesterday, I was talking to a good friend of mine,(a dog obedience trainer with 30 years experience),She had just come from 1 of Her classes, and told me that all the dogs at Her class that day were the same way !
Then~~~yesterday was also the meeting of our Pyr. club down here~~"all" of the dogs were "hyper"~~My An'D" got in a fight for the first time since I've had Him, (from 10 weeks old !)~~Another 1 of the Pyrs "hated" all the other dogs on sight ! (and He had always been 1 of the best behaved of all of them ! ) At the meeting, Susie "staked out" a location on the other side of the house where We met for our meeting, stayed there all afternoon, and would Not socialize at all !! Dusty would not even "play with any of the other dogs, like He usually does !
It's NOT full moon !  What's going on ? Has anyone else out there noticed

anything  ?????
