Sissy, and as I have mentioned in my previous letters there are animals
still contained in enclosures, some with tops on, that have no chance at
all. And frankly in the average home in the city, how anyone can walk
past their dogs ( I'm not even saying they have to hunt for an animal
)and leave them instead of putting them in the car/truck is beyond me.
Why this always turns into " My kids are more important" amazes me, I'm a
parent too, why is this an either or event? I can see if you can't take
the time to hunt for your outdoor cat if he is off hunting. I can't see
why anyone would leave their dog, if it is on the couch , or their
parrot, in the cage, etc. etc. Squeeze it in the vehicle and go! IMO

The pollution of dead carcasses and the health issues that follow would
seem to make it sensible to keep the numbers of animal deaths as low as
possible, even if no one feels that we owe it to them!
