Re: [pyrnet] Vote on starved Pyrs?

Part of the reason it is hard for me to talk about is that I knew
the person who did this. I was also told about the horror shortly
after it was discovered. I had nightmares for months, thinking of
those dog's suffering. I'd have much rather she took her rifle
out and shot them all. At least it would have been quicker. After
the vote at the National, I had to leave the meeting as I could
not stop crying. I can't tell you how painful this was for me.
With any luck, the AKC will be able to use her ousting from the
club on cruelty charges to bar her from registering another dog
with the AKC. Would have been simpler, leagally if the
authorities would have done their job, but so be it. Some may
remember me posting last year about an extreme case of cruelty. I
did not mention the breed involved, not the details, but this is
the case I was talking about. There were any number of us that
would have gone down there and helped remove the dogs and palced
them in homes had we known. IMO this was done with malice and
forethought, as she started killing off her favorite dogs first.
And yes, there was dog food available. She just didn't feed it to
them. Some were locked in sheds during the summer and not given
water. The whole thing is an absolute horror and I wish charges
could be brought against the authorities for not stepping in and
filing cruelty charges against the kennel owner.
