Re: [PyrNet-L] Re: Estrus and camping

Hi Ted,
We just got back from vacation, so I'm a bit behind on e-mail. You will have
to be very careful if you take your dog camping when she is in season....we
once had a strange dog tear a hole in our convertible top when we left our
wire-haired terrier in the car for just a minute to run into a store.
Remember that every time she wets, she is leaving a scent trail for other dogs
to follow. If you do take her, make sure that you keep her on leash and with
you at all times. It helps a bit to give her chlorophyll pills but you need
to start giving them several days before the trip. You get the pills at the
pharmacy (they are people pills for body and breath odor). There are also
sprays that you can get at pet stores (usually lemon- scented to mask odor).
Let us know how it goes.
