[PyrNet-L] Re: Health: Ruptured Cruciate Ligament

Hi Joe and Terese.

Thank you for your input. I agree that it is not a good idea for the family
to buy this puppy, but the thing is, they already have.
I may not have been quite clear about in it my first letter, but this
family bought and payed for the puppy, we have made the contract, signed
all the papers. They own him. He is still living with me, because he is not
old enough to leave home. I suggested we cancelled the deal, I fould that
the best solution for all of us, I would have expected them to agree, no
reason to buy an injured dog, when you can have healthy one, but they have
not made up their mind yet. They want to come down here and see him first,
and the decision is theirs to make. What I want is knowlegde to be able to
give them the best possible advice.

My vet did not believe surgery was neccesary, exactly because of his young
age. The puppies you know about Terese, where they as young as this one (7½
week) ?

At the moment he seems to be improving, putting a bit of weight on the leg.
Since he is not on any painkiller, I hope this is a good sign.
