Amen, Ted! We both love dogs in general, but we are now totally owned by
pyrs and will be for as long as we are able to provide the kind of home
and attention we think they need. They move me to tears, both with their
sensitivity and gentleness and with their sense of humor and funny antics,
and I *love* that anywhere we go, they "work" their therapy magic with
someone who needs it. One of the points in that Dog Fancy article that
*did* ring true with me was a comment that when you see a pyr and her/his
person working, there seems to be a different kind of relationship than
with many dogs. Even some of my friends who are not dog people have
commented on the fact that somehow they feel they "communicate" with our
pyrs as they've never done with other dogs they've encountered. I don't
want to put down *any* dog--but once owned by a pyr....!!
