Not soon after posting this question I thought of an
answer and the reasons behind it. This might be what
you are saying, but I've found you would need separate
sensors for each activity intended. A vehicle would
need the commo power twice to speak inside and outside
as with the Knight-riding Kit. This is because of the
nature of the power. You build an actual speaker, so
inside the car an external speaker won't be heard and
vice-versa. The same goes for sensors, the sensor is
built to sense in certain directions, so internally
would be a different direction. All this means that
for Kit to converse he would need both internal and
external hearing sensors and internal and external
commos.
A couple more questions have come to my mind though.
1. Can a junker recharge batteries off of reactors? If
so, this would also seem to mean a junker can trade
power levels between batteries. I vaguely recall this
being discussed a long time ago, but not sure when. My
take would be that the batteries trade energy until
they are equal or full. Like a body of water being
opened to a lower body of water, the greater amount
fills the lesser until they are equal. This would
meean a reactor would definitely fill batteries as the
are like a spring to go with the water analogy.
2. The other question is on AI and Brains. AI states
that this power is needed for the device to learn.
This doesn't state that the brains power is needed to
remember so a mobile gunpod given self-awareness but
no skill could practice and practice, eventually
gaining skill through the repetition just like a
person. No Brains-related storage space needed. If
this is true, can a AI'ed device with Brains plug in
skill slugs and learn from them? In other words, can
that mobile gunpod get a slug for shootin' and use it
like a learning manual? If so, I think the method
would be to use the slug's score while downloaded and
pay for each level ignoring this lower score until it
was equal thus not needing the crutch of the slug any
longer.
