Re: [HOE] AB' Road Warrior'

Well, let me tell you why I belive this AB can "fit in" to HOE. Arcane
Backgrounds in Deadlands aren't like "magic" in HOE, where it's act this way
and ask the gods and prepare compnents and memorize spells. That's why I
like HOE's Arcane Backgrounds. All the "Magic" comes from roughly the same
place, the Hunting Grounds, but each person interperets and uses that power
differently. Not everyone who uses power from the hunting grounds HAS to be
one of the seven main ABs. This is reflected by the "monsters'" magic,
where there are so many types that they were all just bunched up into
general "attack spells" the marshal could choose from. Any group that
"needs" their own type of magic is given it.
Now, given this, there are going to be a few people with their own
special way of getting power. The arcane background:Road Warrior is not a
background to give every schmuck who drives a car. It's something to give a
character or NPC who seems so attuned to his car that he can do superhuman
things with it. He got that way by chugging some spook juice and chattin'
with his car. And everyone knows that tech spirits--including vehicle
spirits--grow more powerful when more attention and love's poured into them.
When carboy's drunk, he's more able to channel his love and affection into
the vehicle, resulting in a performance increase. Sems logical to me.

Am I wrong?
