[HOE] Pieces o' gold

Thought I might pick y'all's brain a bit.

I run an on-and-off HOE game. A friend of mine just recently ran a Deadlands 
one-shot. In the one shot, one of the surviving characters ended up with six 
gold nuggets from the Lost Dutchman Load (Lode?) that had a greenish tinge, 
possibly due to being found in the middle of a ghost-rock vein.

I'm thinking I want to throw them into the HOE game, having been made into 
something (six rings (Lord of the Rings on the brain), bullets, or something 
else) that the PCs come across. What I'm looking for is interesting things to 
make them into.

BTW: If you play a Mad, do NOT, I repeat NOT carry your flamethrower, 2 ghost 
rock cores, and 20 sticks of dynamite on your velocipede. All it took was a 
single rifle shot and half the party became little bits of flaming debris 
scattered over a 100 yard radius. The rest of them got the most amazing light 
show and a large fire that wouldn't go out for days.
