BLANDING DEPOT, UTAH – A Schismatic Doomsayer envoy known as Father Time is
passing on a warning from the Black Hat occupied town of Cortez, Colorado.
Cortez borders on the old Mesa Verde National park, which was renown for its
Native American cave dwellings and petroglyphs, some of which seem to
predate the Indians. During the last new moon, two Black Hat patrols were
attacked and devoured by a flood of creatures that resembled monstrous
snakes made of moonlight and smoke. Ordinarily, anything that’s an
inconvenience to the Hats is a cause for celebration, but according to
reports, the creatures have reappeared every night there has been a moon in
the sky. The creatures seem to be originating from the far recesses of Soda
Canyon, deep within the park. Father Time has expressed some worries that
the flood of creatures may pass the boundaries of the park.

BITTER CREEK, WYOMING – Local Watchmen are expressing concern for two mutant
migrations that passed by the area in recent weeks. Members of the Crowgut
and Searing Water mutie tribes have traded with local mercantile interests
on their way northward. Both tribes mentioned a “holy calling” in
Yellowstone Park. Thomas MacEnroe, the Head Guardsman, is worried that
Doomsayers may be next on the list for passing through.
