Well in the designer's defense, there are only a few of them, and
thousands of us (players). To expect them to come up with every single
possible situation that we can is un-fair and impossible. And besides
that, if they were to "rules out" every possible case the books would be a
million pages thick and cost million bucks each. I'm not saying that they
don't make glaring mistakes sometimes (they're only human). But by the
same token, THEY'RE ONLY HUMAN. Except for Shane of course, who is god.

You know, we'd all love to give you the best answer, but there really
isn't one. The best choice is to sit down with your group and discuss it
(off line, in the heat of the moment the marshal really IS always right).
Come to a resolution that seems fair, or at least a compromise, to
everyone. And if someone does whine that they can't have a gun that
insta-kills point out to them that the next guy they meet on the road
could have the same gun and when he insta-kills the posse they have no
right to complain (or they could just except a more balanced ruling...)
