First off: Good for you! Make those cans pay!

Anyway: Think of it this way, the cyborg still has some of himself in
there, brain tissue, spinal cord, whatever. These have nerve receptors on
them that, if wired right, can still feel pain. The manitou on the other
hand is just along for the ride. He can take over the body, but doesn't
have any feedback from it. It's like he's playing the ultimate game of
Quake in the Hunting Grounds and the PC is his char.
That's why harrowed still take wound modifiers (but can ignore the first 2
levels) while walkin' dead do not. Sure it's a dull buzzing feeling, but
it's still a feeling for the harrowed.
