That's the thing, though; besides cyborgs, harrowed aren't supposed to
feel pain either.  The wiring of the AI gets past that.  I think it'd be
really funny if this were the only way that a manitou could feel pain. 
But besides that, this particular player had the "amazing good fortune"
of pulling the Red Joker when figuring out his Drain, so the manitou's
Spirit is 3d12+4.  I just had to have that come back and haunt him.
