It also mentions somewhere that if you have the parts available you don't 
need the power. From memory (book not in front of me) the example it cites is 
not needing the Light power if you can find some headlights for the device.

So, following this logic if you can grab some PC speakers, Walkman headphones 
or a surveillance monitor you can hook it up to your device and it should 
work.

I may be totally wrong as it has been a while since I read Junkman.
