Re:[HOE] About Rules of Engagement...
Well, I for one, prefer to choose ROEs that fit my character concept, rather
than randomly determine them. I know that's not how the rules are written,
but in my opinion it makes playing a cyborg character much more fun.
I don't like the fact that a ROE could negate all the hardwork that went
into a character, just because he doesn't like people with red hats (or
whatever...).
For instance, my latest character is an infiltrator abomination hunter. He
spent almost all of his money on an arcane shield and a power converter
(wrong name but it powers harrowed powers) with Arcane Protection as his
main harrowed power. Having the abomination ROE just makes sense for him.
Now, for Emancipated and Rank...I'd say the deader gets to choose.
Definitely choose for emancipated and a strong argument for Rank...but maybe
rank could be a joint decision with the Marshal (should he show interest).
that's all my change for now...back to lurk n' read mode...

Subject: [HOE] About Rules of Engagement...
Hiya All,
<snip>
On a similar vein, during character creation, I can take the Edges of Rank
and Emancipation, both of which cancel existing Rules, but how are the
cancelled Rules determined?
The initial Rules are randomly determined, so are the cancelled Rules
likewise determined randomly, or can I chose which ones to 'lose'?
