I haven't looked at this closely, but you can think of it like this: The
eletronic, mechanical, and structural are used to make the apparatus that
creates the immunatrol. Making a batch burns out the apparatus (it gets
gummed up, or whatever) and you have to make another apparatus before you
create another batch.

Of course, all of this could be solved if the Junkers had some sort of
Alchemy type of power. "Druggie", perhaps.
