Actually, he wasn't really doing that on purpose. He actually wasn't in
the movie on purpose. The director somehow managed to get hold of the
Ring of Jeremy Irons Control (xp value: 5000). With that, he could be
forced to star in the movie, but, as everyone knows, he was only required
to obey the letter of the commands given him by the Ring's wearer, so he
lashed out by acting very, very poorly.
