Yeah - but if you want to apply "real world" physics to this - it is easier 
to take something at ambient temperature and heat it up, then it is to take 
that same something and cool it down.

Easiest is to take something on fire and cool it to ambient temp, or to 
take something cold and raise it up.  But with an external source - strain 
- that's your "match" to heat stuff up.  To cool something down you would 
have to either disperse the energy in a wide area, move the energy far away 
- or destroy it - perhaps converting it into a little bit of matter.

If you wanted to keep "real physics" in - cryokinesis should take a lot 
longer and/or take a lot more strain.
