OK, I wasn't sure what you meant when you sid that chemical components
would be hard to come by for 8d8 ammo. Now I get it, all's cool.

I was talking about the 8d8 gun, which needs a battery, 'cos it's a rail
gun, 'cos it uses ammo processing.

Well, the "specs" were incomplete, to say the least, but he did say that
it can make its own ammo, which means it's got to be a rail gun. It also
makes the ammo size smaller, and I think that's the only way to fit a gun
like that into a Size 4 Frame.
Though, come to think of it, that also means you don't need chemical
components.
