Well, just because the two groups don't like each other doesn't mean they
roll Quickness every time they meet.  Besides, the "team uniforms"
comment says how a corruptor can pass as a cleanser and so on.  The only
tip-off would be the visible reult of their favors (the making things
dirtier of cleaner), and that wouldn't be seen unless someone actually
used one.  Muddy Waters probably noticed the trappings of a Toxic Shaman
on both of them, and they shared a drink.  Once he finds out they're
corruptors, he's not going to pick a fight because he's outnumbered.  So
he pretends to be on their die for awhile, they bed down for the night,
and Muddy slips a knife 'twxit their ribs.
