Unfortunately, the question initially arose in conjunction with a Syker 
forcefield (which is technically "light armor", albeit potentially a whole 
lot of it! :) ), where the same rationale isn't so easily applicable.  Ditto 
for Armor of the Saints.

Then the question remains:  should an AP1 round (or AP 2, or AP4) ignore all 
20 points of protection provided by the Syker (on a good roll) and instead 
merely lose one die #?
