[HOE] Hell on water?



Hidy,

Don't have the RW book in frount of me and its been a while since I've read 
it, but if memory serves correct there are not any rules for boats.  I'm not 
talking destroies here, I'm thinking flatbottom wally world specials with 
dudes and guns!  But I'm also thinking of needing a harsher boat for my boys 
to go up agianst, some Coast Guard river patrol boat with some "special 
mods."

The reason I'm needing this is this (I'm posting here to get some feed back 
if you think this is a good idea or a sucky one, eitherway I'll take all the 
feed back I can get):  I'm sending my pc's into a made up town, on the west 
coast.  Its right near the ocean, but its fresh water so the really big salt 
waternasties will stay away, hopefully for them.  But I'm sure there are 
some really big cat fish at the docs.  There are quite a few adventure ideas 
I've got for the place, but here are the main two.

SETUP:

A cool junker employs the group to escort him to the anyville, OR.  He has 
already scouted the area, hence the map I've made.  He is scouting for the 
Convoy, and they wanna go to this town and continue north.  Hes found lots 
of stuff, a HUGE barge flotilla thats run a ground and what apears to be a 
large military vessel capsized in the river.

Well the barge is carring scrap metal, except for two of the barges that 
have broken off and are down river a few miles, one has scrap, and a HUGE 
cache of weapons bound for some resistance group opposing the Union from the 
confederates, if memory serves right the Union had Oregon, maybe i'm wrong.  
This barge is neatly rested agains a bridge pylon in a nice marshy area, but 
its swamped.  The weapons are in bad shhape, the junker can fix them but the 
Convoy has claim, but i'm sure my boys will cona a couple.  The other barge 
is much further down river, well 3 or 4 miles, and is fully enveloped in a 
soggy marsh.  Barge #2 contains 55 gallon drums of toxic waste.  Lots and 
Lots of toxic waste.

Once again things are not as they appear.  That "capsized military ship" is 
really a nuclear sub, with a fully functional reactor.  The crew all died in 
a reactor misshap.  The on board computer vented the reactor water with sea 
water to stop a meltdown but it was too late the crew had recieved a lethal 
dose of rads.  The sub went to drift.  It washed up in a typhoon after the 
war.  Now its an attack sub so no big bombs.  yeah i know its kinda far 
fetched computer running thesub, not dropping the reactor, and not scrubbign 
the ship as a last act.  But thats just in the story.

So the guys we are gonna fight are, you guessed it Greenies!!!  At first 
just a few, but then a bunch.  They want the toxic waste, and they will find 
the sub for sure, but my guys are thheir first.  They have had run in ins 
the past with them.  That advenure that takes place in the CSA prison, you 
know the one i'm talking aobut.  I think I got it off the Peginc website a 
while back, or did someone else write it?  Well anyway I and my boys really 
liked it so I'm gonna throw some new Greenies at them.

Any help with a boat or ideas about the adventure are highly appericated.

As far as the boat combat goes I'm using vechicle hit locs, with an 
additional die for above below the water line.  And since it is Or, its 
gonna rain during the boaty combat, can you say "the Flood"?
