That's exactly why. Shamans do the same things. They just have nature
spirits helping them channel it, just like Hucksters use manitous.
Toxics open themselves up to the pollution and let the corrupt energy
into their body. Just my opinion, but I think that's why they use
Strain.

And I figure it's also a game mechanics thing.
