Yeah. I think I would have been more comfortable with that paragraph. It's
not that I didn't understand the explanation on pages 22 and 23, but they
didn't have the same sort of message that the one you just proposed did. My
own tastes, of course...don't want to presume to speak for everyone.
Like I said before, I didn't really have a good idea of what I might have
done differently if I* were writing the adventure, which is, in my opinion,
part of what critiquing something should be...that is to say: I prefer a
critique to say "I didn't like this and here's what I would have done" rather
than just "I didn't like it." In this case, however, I really didn't know
what to suggest.
Again, I recognize that this is a really fine line in terms of the kind of
focus Pinnacle puts on its background and storyline...a balance between
giving the posse a good deal of freedom to really affect the Weird/Wasted
West and the ability of Pinnacle to tell their own stories with outcomes that
affect their own future plans for the lines. I don't envy the balancing act
that y'all have set for yourselves, because every choice you make likely
pleases one and annoys another. Personally speaking, the end product has
always been something I like coming back to, and my comments in no way meant
to imply that BH was not a good, solid adventure...it's the balance that I
was having qualms about in this case.

Heh. I figured they were. I mostly meant that for this adventure in
particular, they are a literal godsend. The combats are going to be hectic
enough, and these will go miles towards making them run easier and quicker.
