I dunno about that. All the rules I've come into contact with thus far worked
fine before they got changed. I like the changes MORE, but there was nothing
that was unusable before it got changed. Nothing was so revamped (and I chose
that phrase for a reason...rasserfrasser White Wolf) that it was
unrecognizable, and you didn't have to buy a whole new book to understand the
changes.
Like the setting, I think the rules are kind of evolving, which makes the
Deadlands worlds one of the most dynamic of the games I've come into contact
with over the years, and I think that's a good thing.

You get a lot more out of it when your mouth is literally on fire. It makes a
nice background feeling, anyway, although the waitress DID look at me funny
when I gave praise to Oppenheimer as I was wiping up the last of my curry with
the Naan bread.
Now all we need is the Lost Vegas boxed set, and we'll be away...
