just my two cents as a gencon veteran(gee a whole three times!)  Make sure you
keep an eye on when you sent your housing reg in and when you should see a
response, around May I would figure.  We've nearly gotten no room twice
because of errors by the room assigning people.  They fixed it both times(got
the excutive floor at the Holiday Inn by this) but it shouldn't have happened
in the first place.  If you can't get satisfaction from Andon, you can deal
directly with the Greater Milwaukee Convention Bureau.  But don't worry until
the deadline for response is up or close to it.  Don't pester them needlessly,
they are very busy(but nice) people.
by the way, the Ramada inn downtown, the Grand Milwaukee(think that's the
name) out by the airport and the Holiday Inn downtown are very nice.
