I think that the junker rules kick asss! (the extra s is for value)
They are slightly more dificult to follow, but allow for more creativity. The
junker has certain powers which he can use to build a device (the power DAMAGE
allows the junker to create a weapon and can use various modifiers to change
what the weapon does) and he can also use junk to build the device. If the
junker wants to build a gun with a radar sensor, he can use SENSOR and DAMAGE
powers, or he can use the SENSOR power and find a gatling gun or such to
attach to it. Also, there are rules for power consumption and structural
components.
The rules are great for creative types and are much more exciting that the MAD
SCIENTIST
