Re: [DL] Becoming Harrowed (potential spoilers)
Well, gaining hindrances "in game" isn't that hard. After all "Angst" is
probably the easiest. Your Deader just came to the family home and found it
burned down with 3 graves (one seems to be dug out). Boom... everything is
lost and he shouldn't be (then comes the revenge factor).
As for "unusual appetite," just have fun with it.
"You see a 'possum that got squshed by a recent wagon... my doesn't that
look tasty."
Degeneration would be something gradual, bits of flaking of the skin, a lost
toe nail, possibly even a toof (er tooth).
Aura of Death isn't that hard either. Everyone in the Deader's group just
starts to feel.... uncomfortable, some even more so.
Just remember, the hindrances are gradual. The powers should manifest
themselves gradually as well. The "Book o' the Dead" has hints as to what
powers would be for whom. Just make sure that when the player is buying
them, he becomes more uncomfortable with his state of unbeing. He isn't a
superhero. He's something unnatural. And everything should reflect this.
