Thunderbird is from Hexarcana.

As for Traits and Aptitudes, that all depends on the kind of shaman you 
want to play - remember to reserve 5 points for rituals, 3 edge points for 
Arcane Background, and some points to pay for the Guardian Spirit.

Keep an eye out for the governing traits for the rituals you pick - that'll 
be a strong consideration for where you put your die types.
