Re: [DL] (off topic) Freelance work

Ill have to second the below opinion, you have to be good for shane to consider you, or a damn pain in the ass in my case. And I don't write.....well I do but thats a different story. Even products and quality have to be assured though.

You might consider trying some of the rpg magazines that are availiable who allow people to write in and publish articles, build a portfolio.

Steel yourself before reading the next sentence. It isn't meant to be as
harsh as it sounds.

My advice is to cut your teeth someplace other than PEG first. I don't say
this to discourage you but you need to prove yourself to Shane before he'll
be willing to risk part of his company's future on you. The word is that
PEG has just entered into an arrangement with multiple partners to continue
to work its lines. Which direction you go in will depend on what you are
wanting to pitch. A good place to start would be to submit an article to
Games Unplugged magazine. You stand a better chance of quicker publication
there than elsewhere. Once you get a couple of publications under your
belt, then you will be in a better position to approach Shane with bigger
ideas.

I hope this helps. Take care and good luck.

Matt
