House rule we used was you can buy concentration to 
equal the highest one in the same skill for 3 points 
at start, after start you could buy 1 level in 
another concentration for 1 point per game.

So to buy shootin' rifle to match shootin' pistol 5, 
would cast 5 points, one point at a time, one level a 
game. 

This made gaining the skill a little more realistic 
to us, and made it a bit more costly to buy up to 
high skill.
